YUMMY RHYTHMIC PATTERNS & FOOD FLASHCARDS

«Yummy rhythmic patterns & Flashcards» is a printable that includes five sets of cards. One set contains 32  food illustration images with the amount of syllables each word has. Another set contains the same food illustration images, but this time with musical figures that fit into the amount of syllables that each word has. You will also find 32 combinations of rhythmic patterns to practice and a the 32 images with no names to be matched to the number of syllables they contain.   Finally, you will also find 32 food images with their names below.

These cards are a perfect resource to play with rhythm and use musical activities as the basis to discuss food-related vocabulary and food-related sentences (e.g. What food do you like? What’s your favourite food?). Noticing how many syllables each words contains also helps EFL learners to implicitly focus on pronunciation. You can have students work as a class, in small groups, individually…
